Responsibilities
User Research: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability testing with customers and partners to gather feedback on SonicWall products.
Data Analysis: Analyze user research data to identify pain points, user needs, and areas for improvement in product design and functionality.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing, to communicate user insights and advocate for user-centered design principles.
Design Recommendations: Propose actionable design and usability enhancements based on research findings, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Prototyping: Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize design concepts and communicate ideas effectively to stakeholders.
GTM Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to inform GTM strategies based on user feedback and market trends.
Documentation: Create detailed design specifications, user journey maps, and usability reports to guide development and ensure consistency in user experience.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously refine and enhance our product offerings.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Design Engineer, Usability Engineer, or similar role, preferably in the tech or cybersecurity industry.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, partners, and team members effectively.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).
Experience conducting user research and usability testing, with a solid grasp of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Ability to analyze and synthesize data into actionable insights.
Preferred
Familiarity with Agile development processes and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
