Responsibilities

Manages complex strategic portfolios or multiple programs to achieve key business objectives.
Creates, monitors, and updates portfolio or program plans.
Assists in establishing work plans and staffing for portfolios and programs.
Develops and maintains comprehensive communication plans across teams.
Provides strategic direction to cross-functional teams and manages portfolio scope, budget, and schedule.
Prioritizes projects and programs within the portfolio to ensure overall benefits are achieved.
Resolves resource escalations and manages conflicts to ensure the best use of resources.
Analyzes financials, manages progress, and forecasts to identify key messages and risks.
Deep dives into issue resolution as problems arise.
Reviews and contributes to portfolio scope definitions.
Coordinates development and approval of business and technical requirements.
Identifies, resolves, and escalates risks/issues involving multiple senior leaders.
Represents the company with contractors, suppliers, and business partners.
Ensures program activities stay on schedule and within budget, recommending adjustments as needed.
Monitors and communicates portfolio status to stakeholders and executives.
Manages and mentors Project Managers or Program Managers.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree.
10+ years of project management experience, with 5+ years of program management and consulting experience implementing global projects in retail and/or healthcare.
Proven experience developing project plans, including charters, scopes, financial forecasts, and schedules.
Experience managing budgets of at least $20M.
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred

PMP certification preferred.
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and other project management methodologies.
Experience establishing/managing Project Management Offices for programs.
