Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and leadership to an innovation engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Recruit, hire, train, and mentor engineering professionals, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
Set clear goals and expectations for team members, regularly evaluate performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and innovation within the engineering department.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to align project goals and prioritize resources effectively.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and proactively implement corrective measures to ensure successful project completion.
Drive the implementation of best practices, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes across engineering projects.
Develop and execute the team’s technical strategy, aligning it with the overall organizational goals and market trends.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Drive research and development initiatives, fostering a culture of experimentation and technological advancement within the engineering team.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define the long-term technology roadmap and provide technical insights to support business decisions.
Foster effective communication and collaboration between the innovation team and other departments within the organization.
Work closely with product management and design teams to ensure technical feasibility, prioritize features, and define product requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and manage expectations regarding engineering projects.
Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements of the engineering department to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.

Required
Senior Level Director role requiring 9+ years as a Director or High level Leadership role over Software Product Engineering
Must have the work authorization status as a US Citizen
Must be willing to travel 40% of the time
Strong technical background and expertise in enterprise software development
Experience in managing and delivering complex, large-scale projects within budget and time constraints.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire engineering professionals.
Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to align technical strategy with business objectives.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry best practices, development methodologies, and emerging technologies.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements in the engineering domain.
Proven experience in an engineering transformation moving from on-prem to cloud
