Responsibilities
Oversee accounts receivable and billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Manage and mentor the AR and billing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
Monitor aging accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and drive collections strategies.
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to maintain customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
Prepare and present detailed AR and billing reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to address billing or payment issues effectively.
Conduct regular audits of accounts receivable and billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AR and billing team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and billing.
Handle escalations of complex disputes or collection issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Implement and oversee credit policies, ensuring proper evaluation of customer creditworthiness.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continually improve processes.
Collaborate with IT to optimize billing and AR systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

Required
5+ years in accounts receivable, billing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
A proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
Experience with AS400 is a plus.
