Responsibilities
Promptly and professionally answer incoming telephone calls and route them appropriately
Greet patients and guests in a courteous and professional manner
Verify insurance coverage and demographic information
Facilitate or create appointments for follow-up care and other medical services
Explain financial obligations to patients and collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles

Required
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field
Minimum one year of experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a healthcare environment
Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Preferred
Experience with radiology CPT codes and insurance knowledge
Previous experience in insurance and authorization processes
Familiarity with initiating requests for MRI Injection Authorization from commercial carriers
