Responsibilities

Serves as a technical resource for department project managers and design personnel.

Monitors progress and performs quality assurance of project activities and roadway design plans for compliance with department policies and procedures, federal regulations, and management directives.

Advises Department personnel on non-motorized and ADA policy and serves as departmental expert of non-motorized and ADA policies, specifications, and standards plans according to current laws and identified best practices including development of non-motorized and ADA-related training.

Coordinates with advocacy groups to ensure appropriate non-motorized policies are established and maintained.

Represents the Department on nationwide task forces, technical committees and research boards.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university curriculum.

Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri.

Six years of progressive experience in highway or transportation engineering
