Responsibilities

Perform operational reviews at the start of every shift ensuring that services are running as expected.

Work to resolve all known system anomalies and perform root cause analysis as required.

Generate process improvements as needed to minimize future occurrences of recurring issues.

As new processes are generated, they should be documented with a plan to mentor junior members of the team on the latest processes and procedures.

Work both independently as well as in coordination with other IT disciplines to ensure smooth operations of the customer’s multi-user environment.

Includes but not limited to Implementation of STIG requirements, Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs), Industry best practices, network security measures in accordance with customer and DOD standards.

Take ownership of customer issues and communicate on a regular basis the status of their tickets and issues.

Issue resolution is to include properly documenting issues along with associated resolution measures.

Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.

Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on network performance and provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements.

Provide 24×7 call-in support in the event of systems outages, along with providing regular progress updates on resolution times.
