Responsibilities

Assist in assessing the short-term capital needs of properties owned or leased by the Department

Provide recommendations regarding the need for a professional capital needs assessment

Develop long-term capital improvement plans for a property including projected operating expenses for potential energy conservation measures

Required

Candidates shall be registered architects with at least 20 years of experience in the rehabilitation of residential buildings and adaptive re-use of buildings for residential use.

Experience shall include work with multiple building typologies including small-scale multifamily and high-rise buildings.

Candidates' experience must increase the Department's capacity to efficiently make responsible executive decisions regarding design and construction matters.
