Responsibilities
Lead completion of Desk Reviews and Audits of Medicare cost reports, including complex issues with large dollar reimbursement impact.
Prepare audit adjustment reports and detailed work papers in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, during review, analysis, and audit/desk review of provider cost report.
Analyze expense and revenue data for reasonableness and compliance, review provider pricing policies for consistency in charges, and examine statistical data for cost allocations.
Assist in training and advisement of Auditor work.
Defend reimbursement or audit decisions made during desk review or audit.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
2 or more years of related work experience as a Cost Report Auditor working on CMS contracts.
Preferred
5 or more years of experience in a Medicare Audit or Reimbursement role.
Experience as a Cost Report Auditor at WPS Health Solutions.
Accounting or Finance background.
Medicare Cost Report Experience.
Healthcare Experience.
Accounting or Finance background.
