Responsibilities

Providing accurate verbatim reporting of proceedings in all required or requested court hearings, which include civil, criminal, juvenile, and grand jury
Providing real-time reporting services to judicial officers
Preparing transcripts in accordance with applicable Government Codes, Rules of Court, and Statutes
Providing read back upon request

Required

A current Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license issued by the Court Reporters Board of California
Real-time reporting capability
Computer-aided transcription (CAT) capability
Paperless writer equipped with 1 form of removable memory in addition to internal memory -OR- voice writing equipment
A valid California Class C driver's license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation is required to carry out job-related essential functions
