Responsibilities
Promote primarily new and emerging brands in the natural, specialty, and conventional retail channel
Advise brands on Go-to-Market retail strategies and execute to plan
Define clear sales goals and objectives and achieve said targets
Lead business development activities with retailers (large and small) in the West Coast region (Northern and Southern California)
Conduct biweekly meetings with all clients to provide updates on target lists, review sell sheets/sales decks, discuss category review schedules, and strategize on key accounts.
Help train and manage offshore support resources
Attend food shows to support current clients, prospect for new clients, and meet with retailers
Assist clients with the management of distributors
Manage CRM system to ensure all processes are tracked accordingly
Travel required up to 50%

Required
Proficiency in Excel
Effective Presentation Skills
Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships
Confident in presiding meetings
With 2-3 plus years of proven experience in the same capacity
Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
3-5 years of experience in CPG Industry or Food Industry
Should be entry-level or middle-manager experience
Role will be focused on Northern and Southern California. Preferably someone located in Southern California-- preferably LA, Orange County or Riverside.
