Responsibilities

Plans, develops, and implements technological solutions that are essential to CDPH’s databases and systems.

Works with various levels of staff across the enterprise on projects involving application and database development on the Microsoft Modern Platform that aligns and supports security requirements.

Writes/updates program code in a variety of programming languages such as Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, J2EE, C#, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and functions.

Works on the database and system configuration, performance tuning, and problem resolution.

Serves as a technical lead in providing support and maintenance for mission critical applications and systems.

Recommends solutions and provides project guidance.

Develops documentation.

Conducts research and analysis for information technology systems.

Works with programs and teams on business requirements, architectural design; and oversees the implementation process.

Strong background in programming and Database administration such as Microsoft (MS) Visual Studio.NET (C#), C++, J2EE, PL/SQL, Stored Procedure, Oracle Database, MS SQL Database Server

Experienced in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) API

Application development using Microsoft (MS) Power Apps, Microsoft (MS) Visual Studio.NET (C#), C++, J2EE, and Python

Database administration and programming with MS SQL and Oracle Databases

System, program, and other technical writing

Performing multi-tier application setup and configuration

System support
