Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to locate and catalog unstructured data sources (e.g., file shares, email, and cloud storage).
Develop and maintain an up-to-date inventory of unstructured data across the organization.
Evaluate unstructured data for risks, including the presence of sensitive information, compliance violations, and potential data breaches.
Define risk mitigation strategies and ensure their implementation.
Gather, document, and refine business requirements for unstructured data monitoring, including data classification, retention policies, and compliance standards.
Ensure alignment of requirements with business goals and regulatory needs.
Partner with business leaders to understand data challenges and provide actionable insights.
Regularly update stakeholders on project progress and ensure their feedback is integrated into solutions.
Work closely with technical teams (data architects, engineers, and security experts) to design and implement robust unstructured data monitoring solutions.
Establish and maintain processes for data classification, retention, and secure disposal.
Develop guidelines for ongoing unstructured data monitoring to improve compliance and reduce risks.
Ensure data monitoring solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Prepare project documentation and processes to pass audits successfully.
Assess the performance of implemented solutions and identify opportunities for enhancement to address emerging risks or requirements.

Required
Strong understanding of unstructured data management, including data discovery, classification, and governance.
Solid knowledge of NTFS permissions and file system security.
Familiarity with compliance requirements for data monitoring and retention.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), Word, and Teams.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Ability to use data analysis tools effectively for risk assessment and solution evaluation.
Exceptional communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
Experience in creating and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Demonstrable experience in file system security and unstructured data risk mitigation.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Knowledge of data loss prevention tools and practices.
Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance frameworks related to unstructured data.
Experience in data-centric roles, with a strong focus on risk analysis and governance.
