Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of ongoing relationships with publishing partners such as learned societies and universities through various communication channels and reporting tools.
Ensure that partners are aligned with our strategies around open access and journal growth through excellent, regular communication.
Undertake research and prepare materials to renew journal publishing agreements by supporting the development of business offers with senior colleagues and Finance; develop and deliver comprehensive renewal proposals; and collaborate with colleagues in the negotiation of contracts.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth service and promote title-level business growth.
Promote partner compliance with journal process improvements through effective communication and persuasion.
Identify and facilitate new business opportunities for partner titles with senior colleagues.

Required
Proven experience in research publishing
Passion for managing relationships with society leaders and other stakeholders in the community
Deep understanding of journal publishing and can articulate Research's overarching strategies
Awareness and understanding of industry trends in scholarly publishing
Strong relationship and account management, negotiation, and influencing skills
Ability to ensure internal and external alignment with strategic goals
Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional groups
Effective communication with internal teams
Ability to strategize and secure buy-in from external partners for necessary improvements
Ability to independently solve problems and make informed decisions
Strong data analytics, financial acumen, time management, and presentation skills
Organized working style
Excellent written and oral communication
