Responsibilities

Through the usual functions (sales presentations, prospecting, sales calls, site inspections, client entertainment and business travel) the Sales Manager is responsible for developing business and maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
The Group Sales Manager is an outside the box thinker and specializes in problem solving. They are involved in networking organizations and a proud representative of Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite and Delaware North.
Collaborates with Revenue Management, Hotel Operations, and F&B partners to support overall hotel performance and operations.
Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite and review competition.
Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.

Must be sales-driven & goal oriented
Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships across the team.
Collaborative approach with all departments, specifically food & beverage and the events team.
Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels of management
Ability to think outside the box and use their initiative to solve problems and deliver solutions
Enthusiastic, passionate, able to motivate others
3+ years of past sales experience preferred with previous hospitality experience.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Advanced knowledge of Association Market
Ability to execute appropriate action plans.

Preferred

3+ years of past sales experience preferred with previous hospitality experience.
Experience with Delphi.fdc preferred.
