Responsibilities

Develop & execute strategic communication plans
Analyze target audiences & media landscapes
Draft press releases, advisories, & talking points
Coordinate media outreach & conduct tours
Monitor media coverage & prepare reports
Advise leadership on communication matters
Develop & implement social media strategies
Build relationships with key media outlets
Stay current on media trends

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field

Ability to work independently & as part of a team
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
Media Monitoring and Analysis Tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater)
Content Management Systems (CMS)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred

Experience working with the Department of Defense or other government agencies
Knowledge of military operations and culture
Experience with crisis communication
Graphic Design Software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
