Responsibilities
Perform business application management, by installing, configuring, testing and deploying business applications within IT Operations.
Provide change management communication regarding application changes, outages and problems in advance to end users.
Administer the planning/performance of back-up/recovery for all applications and data.
Install, configure, test and deploy applications.
Perform research and development to enable continuing innovation in business applications.
Define application integration architecture; collaborate with application development team on technology approaches and solutions; develop and tailor process design concepts and implementation plans for the efficient transformation of the automation processes.
Evaluate and monitor performance of business applications.
Take timely and effective action based on findings.
Plan and perform preventative maintenance; identifies and recommends patches, upgrades and add-ons; plan and perform upgrades to critical business applications.
Prepare and maintain documentation including but not limited to process manuals, software installation and configuration procedures, application patching procedures, user security and administration and maintenance procedures.
Support system security by participating in RBAC design and security configuration.
Provide Tier 3 support, which includes but is not limited to receiving and processing trouble ticket escalations, troubleshooting and resolving application issues; coordinating resolution with customers and support staff, tracking issues, communicating with customers throughout the process, and coordinating handoffs to other team members.
Provide training, guidance, and reviews to less senior staff.

Required
Candidates must reside in the State of California or be willing to relocate to California
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience working in Information Technology supporting business applications and/or middleware
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
5 years of experience working in Information Technology supporting business applications and/or middleware
Prior experience working within a health plan/health insurance environment
Familiarity with core technologies involved in a major health plan such as QNXT, MyQNXT, EAM (Enrollment administration Manager), Optum CES (Claims Editing System), Optum PPS (Prospective Payment System), Optum Easy Group, Optum Rate Manager, NetworX Pricer, NetworX Modeler, and Edifecs
