Responsibilities

Responsible for roadway/highway analysis and design, specifications, reports, and estimates efforts on conventional and general engineering consultant and/or design-build projects for GDOT, county and municipal clients

Monitoring labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects

Coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications

Meeting project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects

Supporting marketing and business development initiatives

Qualification

Civil Engineering degreeGeorgia PE licensureConstruction document productionGDOT experienceTechnical guidanceOral communicationWritten communicationRelationship buildingProblem-solving

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience

Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience

Georgia PE licensure

Proven experience leading and/or providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff. This includes proven experience reviewing others' work for technical accuracy

Proven experience participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results

Proficient in construction document production

Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders

Proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner

GDOT experience

Experience working on General Engineering Consultant and/or Design-Build contracts
