Assistant to Associate Professor - Child Neurologist / Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Pediatrician

Responsibilities
Participation in single discipline and interdisciplinary teams for the evaluation and management of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities including (but not limited to) cerebral palsy, spina bifida, congenital brain malformations, and neurogenetic disorders in selected CDRC clinics
Participation in interdisciplinary training at the CDRC
Service on various Institute on Development and Disability (IDD)/CDRC and OHSU committees as appropriate and assigned
Engagement in public service through consultative activities with non-OHSU groups as approved by the Director; and conduct of clinical projects or research in selected areas of interest
Demonstrating Core Competencies expected of all OHSU employees in the areas of Accountability, Integrity, Diversity, Respect, Service Orientation, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Communication. Complies with OHSU policies related to Code of conduct, Respect in the workplace, and all applicable policies, procedures and agreements related to position, department or OHSU as a whole
Providing Neurodevelopmental and Neurologic care to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and complex special health care needs at CDRC, including:
Child Development Clinics
Neurodevelopment Clinics
Child Neurology clinics
Providing cross coverage for selected clinics at CDRC and outreach sites
Participating in interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluations in the CDRC Child Development Clinics and making recommendations for further diagnostic testing, treatment and ongoing medical management of identified conditions
Specific responsibilities including completion of chart reviews, comprehensive histories, conducting physical and developmental examinations, developmental testing, participation in team staffings, provision of parent education/counseling regarding neurodevelopmental diagnoses, and preparation of clinical reports
Collaborate with other areas on campus to become involved with research and/or teaching in areas of interest
Qualification
Required
M.D. or D.O. Degree, Board Eligible/Certified in Child Neurology and/or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
Completed Residency or Fellowship in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities or Pediatric Neurology
Experience working in interdisciplinary settings
Demonstrated interest in scholarly activities
Eligibility for Oregon Medical License
BLS certification
