The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Leader will provide technical leadership to the manufacturing engineering and automation teams, focusing on improving throughput, reducing inventory, and ensuring product consistency to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing and automation engineers

Set engineering priorities in alignment with production, quality, and business goals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Production, Supply Chain) to resolve technical issues

Develop, implement, and optimize casting processes

Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations or yield issues

Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce scrap and improve throughput

Identify and implement new technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing for cores/tooling, AI in process monitoring)

Evaluate equipment upgrades and automation opportunities to improve process control and efficiency

Required

BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management from an accredited institution

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related manufacturing engineering function

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred

Experience in Continuous Improvement, Waste Elimination and Kaizen

Excellent analytical, problem solving, (5 Why, Trucker's Log, A3 Thinking), community, interpersonal, organization and negotiation skills

Excellent leadership skills that create an engaged employee environment

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and employees

Ability to read blueprints

Experience with CAD

Ability to analyze time studies to set labor standards, mechanical ability that would allow the search for new and better equipment in a manufacturing environment

Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to the manufacturing areas

Experience in the investment casting industry

Good financial literacy
