Mid LevelThe University of Missouri-Kansas City is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty teaching positions in the School of Education. The role involves delivering graduate level courses in educational leadership, policy, and foundations while creating an engaging learning environment and assessing student performance.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain civil and engaging learning environments
Deliver curriculum through high quality course instruction
Assess student learning of course objectives
Use a variety of evaluation methods
Use the early alert system to identify students at risk of failing, when applicable (UMKC Connect)
Provide students with prompt, objective, fair feedback on their work
Assign grades and maintain student records in accordance with university policy
Adhere to and model university standards of professionalism
Be accessible to students for conferences / consultations
Engage in critical self-reflection and professional development
Qualification
Required
Appropriate degree for the level of class being taught
Experience/training relevant to the content area being taught
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to urban issues
Licensure or certification, if applicable
Preferred
Previous experience teaching at the university level
Familiarity with various online management systems (e.g., Canvas)
