Unison is a company focused on delivering quality products in the manufacturing sector. They are seeking an Assembler / Tester 1 to assemble parts, perform testing, and assist in improving procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions

Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e. – dielectric, meggar, hipot, etc.)

Perform in-process hi-pot testing; Perform basic set up of fixtures

Perform vapor blasting as required; Perform inventory counts and verification

Assist with proto-type or first time builds with guidance from higher level employees

Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets

Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment to ensure all are current

Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products; Good housekeeping skills

Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures

Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience

Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation

Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach

Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up

Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues. May interact with internal cross-functional teams (i.e. – planning)

Participates in and support team initiatives
