Responsibilities
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies
Serves as Task Lead and coordinates with team members to execute projects
Provide municipal services to review land development submittals for compliance with municipal code, conditions of approval, and best design practices
Develops plans and prepares technical specifications, and cost estimates
Assists with project execution and delivery including development of project scope, budget, and schedule
Mentors and supervises junior engineer staff
Assists with project proposal development when needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college
5-8 years of related experience in process, engineering, and design
Tennessee PE license is required
Local knowledge of agency requirements
Experience preparing final design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates
Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivating, team-oriented work practices, strong analysis and organizational skills
Proficiency with Civil 3D drafting and design
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
