Erlanger Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Radiology OR Technologist responsible for providing radiological care in the Operating Room, Endoscopy Units, and Perioperative Areas. The role involves performing various procedures with x-ray equipment and assisting in surgical procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of procedures with a vast array of x-ray producing equipment to surgical service lines
Occasionally second assist in procedures
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive radiology and technical support in the Operating Room, Endoscopy Unit and Perioperative areas
Set up equipment and room as needed for exams, and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and stored after each exam
Effectively operate portable x-ray/fluoroscopy/c-arm/CT machines to produce quality images for Surgeons and Radiologists
Recognize emergent situations and act promptly and appropriately based on the patient's needs

ARRT certificationBLS certificationRadiologic technologyX-ray equipment operationClinical experienceSterile techniquesPatient assessment

Required

A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program. Reference: https://www.arrt.org/Education/ (compliant with all continuing education mandates)
Completion of on the job Competency Training Program within 6 months of hire
ARRT certified and compliant with all continuing education mandates, or
ARRT registry eligible- must complete within one year of hire
BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward

Preferred

AS Health Science in Radiologic Technology
1 year clinical experience
