The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a thought leader in the Department of Neurology to enhance neuroscience research focused on Lewy Body Dementia and Movement Disorders. The ideal candidate will be an innovative physician scientist or non-physician scientist with a successful translational research program, contributing to both research and education within the department.

Responsibilities

Enhance our scope of neuroscience research
Support and build upon our strengths to tackle health care issues
Focus on pathophysiology, biomarker development, and treatment strategies for LBD
Contribute to the education and training of undergraduate and medical students
Participate in departmental and university service, including committee activities

Qualification

Required

MD, DO, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent degree in neurology, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, or related disciplines
A track record of research productivity and accomplishments
Demonstrated potential to establish or maintain an internationally recognized, externally funded research program
Robust publications in peer-reviewed journals
A research focus on Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), with an interest in biomarkers and/or pathophysiology of LBD or related neurodegenerative disorders
