ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER VI - OAHU
The State of Hawaiʻi is seeking an Administrative Officer VI to assist in managing a major statewide program. This role involves overseeing various administrative functions including budget coordination, fiscal management, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Assisting a program manager/administrator in developing and overseeing the administrative aspects of a major statewide program and organization of extensive size, scope, complexity and diversity
Supervise through subordinate professional, technical and/or clerical supervisory positions in providing the full range of professional administrative support services
Oversee, plan, and administer staff support functions: budget coordination and monitoring; fiscal management and oversight, procurement of services and related contracting, grants management and compliance monitoring
Assure fiscal management, oversight and advise the division administrator on all budgetary and fiscal matters
Ensure that the division meets and complies with federal and state laws, rules, regulations, statutes, policies and agreements; and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Legal Authorization To Work: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States
Education: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree
Specialized Experience: Four and one-half (4-1/2) years of business administration, public administration, or other responsible professional experience which required a high degree of analytical skill (e.g., operations management, business analyst, budget/fiscal analyst, etc.) and which involved evaluating and improving elements such as managerial policies, systems, work methods and practices, personnel needs and utilization, and quality of services rendered, of an operating program
Supervisory Aptitude: Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted. This requirement will be considered to have been met when there is strong affirmative evidence of the necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential
Substitution Allowed: Relevant substitutions, as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply
