Responsibilities

Act as the technical lead in customer engagements, translating complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable solutions
Collaborate with customers to integrate AI vision systems and quality control solutions into production lines
Provide pre and post-sales technical support, ensuring smooth implementation and ongoing success
Develop long-term client relationships and drive high-volume solution sales (think 20+ cameras per project!)
Travel extensively (60–80%) within your region to meet customers and support implementations

Required

Background in Engineering or Technical Sales—preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation-focused
3–7 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, or Technical Sales role within OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or high-volume manufacturing environments
Familiarity with vision systems, AI technologies, and quality control solutions
Technically sharp with a sales-through-solutions mindset
Confident in troubleshooting complex challenges and presenting solutions to stakeholders
Comfortable working independently and managing customer relationships on the ground
Based in or open to relocating to Detroit (MI), Columbus/Cincinnati (OH), Atlanta (GA), Indianapolis (IN), or Charlotte (NC)
