ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR
Wells is a company that specializes in precast concrete structures, and they are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead and manage a team of engineers. This role involves overseeing technical aspects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture while also being responsible for project design and execution.

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Engineers
Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
Foster a positive and productive team environment that encourages collaboration, learning, and growth
Discipline and maintain employee relations in the Engineering department
Assist Management and HR with staffing needs, personnel issues, and implement department policies and procedures
Coordinate employee work schedules with other supervisors within the D+E department
Review calculations and drawings to ensure they are satisfactory to stamp as appropriate
Ensures safe structures, safe working conditions, quality products, quality service, and satisfied customers by working with all departments within the Company
Interpret Architectural/Structural plans and perform required calculations to ensure structural integrity
Oversees a project design team and is accountable for project milestones and the successful deliverable to internal and external customers
Identifies potential issues with project schedules and quality and responds with proposed solutions with internal teams
Seek advice from peers to aide in unfamiliar designs and responsibilities to find the best solutions
Collaborate with internal departments to find optimal solutions
Coordinates with Contractors/Engineers/Architects/Owners as required
Provide sales staff with engineering support for prospective jobs
Visits manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required for assigned projects
Manages concerns and issues as necessary during any phase of the project
Needs to make timely, educated decisions based on needs and requirements
Prepares appropriate fixes for errors that have occurred on the projects
Complete special projects as requested and perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a structural focus required
10+ years of experience required, and a preference in design engineering and the precast industry
Currently obtain and will maintain a Professional Engineer License (PE)
Interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
Experience with Microsoft office software
Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment
Visual acuity and ability to read small print
Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others
Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment
Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed
Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
