Research Associate III
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Research Associate III to provide research support administration services for their government customer in San Antonio, TX. The role involves assisting with regulatory requirements, maintaining study records, coordinating clinical research studies, and overseeing junior personnel.

Responsibilities
Assists with collection of supporting documentation for requirement packages, IACUC/IRB protocols for projects performed under this contract, research proposals and protocols, manuscripts, SOPs, reports and presentation editing/review
Assists Government personnel in initiating and maintaining regulatory IACUC/IRB requirements
Ability to develop and coordinate the implementation of clinical research studies, including regulatory requirements, maintenance of study records and all activities associated with internal and external audits
Assists in ordering supplies for research under contract for animal procurement, subject to final Government approval
Assists in maintenance of inventory of supplies for research under contract
Modifies and plans research experiment schedules, procedures, and tests
Assists in the maintenance of a clean and operational lab space
Ability to develop, organize and maintain the study database and data validation
Maintains data and records securely, including the use of an assigned laboratory notebook
Writes and edits research material for publication and presentation
Oversees the work of junior level contract personnel
Assists PI in tracking and updating established project budgets
Assist the Government Support Agreements Manager with support agreements. All formal communication shall come from the Government Support Agreements Manager
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree plus ten (10) years' related experience or master's degree plus three (3) years' related experience
Maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation); or equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
