Baptist Memorial Health Care is a non profit company that provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, cardiac, and clinical services. They are seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician

Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient

Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan

Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines

Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures

Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff

Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards

Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement

Completes assigned goals

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Radiology Technology ProgramARRT RegisteredRadiographic principlesBLS CertificationAssociates degree

Required

Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program

Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT

Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory

Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results

Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work

ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire

New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire

State license as required
