The Transportation practice is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to lead projects, manage staff, and support client development within the civil engineering group.

Responsibilities
Assists in the direction, coordination, planning, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility
Communicates with clients to understand project requirements
Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements
Manages design team members and supervises the work of engineers and draft persons in preparing contract documents including drawings, specifications and estimates
Leads staff and provides technical direction and supervision of multiple projects
Assists with recruiting department staff within the group
Assists in business development efforts to support the department's growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
P.E. License in ME
Minimum of 10 to 20 years' relevant experience
Proven ability to manage large transportation engineering projects and teams effectively
Experience with Maine Turnpike Authority, MaineDOT, and local municipalities, strong preference given to local experience
Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO design methods, standards, and specifications
Working knowledge of Microstation, In Roads and Open Roads
Preferred
Master's degree in civil engineering
Multi-state P.E. License
