Responsibilities
Responsible to lead roadway design projects including geometrics
Coordinate with other disciplines in the delivery of projects
Prepare plans per NCDOT manuals/guidance
Assign tasks and communicate task expectations to junior engineers and other disciplines
Ensure that project tasks are completed within deadlines and allotted project budgets
Communicate adequately with all team members and senior management
Responsible for QA (Quality Assurance)/QC (Quality Check) process
Prepare progress reports for invoice submittal
Communicate with the client
Assist with mentoring junior transportation staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
NC PE (Professional Engineering) License
10+ Years' experience in transportation (roadway) design
Must have a good understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO Green Book
Knowledge and experience with MicroStation, InRoads and/or Geopak
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
