Responsibilities
Provides safe and effective care to ambulatory patients
Teamwork/Coordination of Care: Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. Exhibits respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines and uses an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes. Evidence-Based Practice/Learning: Uses evidence-based standards, guidelines, and protocols to the delivery of patient care. Incorporates new information and approaches, when appropriate, to continuously improve patient care and practice
Professionalism / Professional Development: Ensures ongoing growth and development of clinical skills and knowledge by assuming responsibility for lifelong learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, also serves as a resource and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills through participation in program development
Qualification
Required
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
Prior experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
Unrestricted VA Medical License or ability to obtain
Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors
Ability to enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
Preferred
2-3 years of experience in Primary Care
