Goldbelt Apex LLC is a data-focused company dedicated to process and quality in healthcare IT. The Bacteriology Staff Scientist supports studies of bacterial threat agents and contributes to vaccine and therapeutic development within the Bacteriology Division.

Responsibilities

Perform bacterial culture, quantification, and challenge studies

Support vaccine and therapeutic evaluations

Analyze experimental data and contribute to reports

Collaborate across divisions on research initiatives

Maintain lab safety and bio-surety compliance

The Contractor is expected to write reports and publications and present their findings in meetings

Required

Knowledge of microbial pathogenesis

Familiarity with GLP/BSL-2/3 compliance

Technical writing and team collaboration skills

Shall be knowledgeable in a relevant field of the life sciences and have desired experience working in a research laboratory

Shall have demonstrated their subject matter expertise in at least one area, and their ability to conduct independent research through publication of several technical reports and/or peer-reviewed publications

The contractor will be expected to execute their assigned tasks, and to share their findings with other members of the project team

Possesses good written and oral communication skills

Bachelor's degree in immunology, microbiology, or a related field

Minimum 4+ years in bacteriology or related research field

Experience in animal model development

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required

Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required
