Responsibilities

Conduct integrative analyses using transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data

Design and execute experiments investigating host response to infection

Collaborate with bioinformaticians and lab scientists

Develop visualizations and models for biological pathways

Publish findings and present to stakeholders

The contractor will be expected to execute their assigned tasks, and to share their findings with other members of the project team

The Contractor is expected to write reports and publications, and present their findings in meetings

Required

Familiarity with R, Python, or MATLAB

Understanding of immunological and molecular biology concepts

Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams

Shall be knowledgeable in a relevant field of the life sciences and have desired experience working in a research laboratory

Have demonstrated their subject matter expertise in at least one area, and their ability to conduct independent research through publication of several technical reports and/or peer-reviewed publications

Possesses good written and oral communication skills

Bachelor's degree in systems biology, computational biology, or related field

Minimum 4+ years in systems biology, computational biology, or related discipline

Experience with large biological datasets and statistical modeling

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required

Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required
