Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high-quality backend solutions using Django and Django Rest Framework
Drive technical decisions and architectural direction, ensuring scalable and maintainable systems
Take full ownership of projects and features, working across multiple systems and technologies to deliver end-to-end solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams to create a seamless customer experience
Elevate engineering practices by improving processes, setting standards, and refining tooling
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical growth and a culture of continuous improvement

Required

Proven technical expertise, with 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production systems

User-focused mindset, delivering value through incremental, iterative development
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to drive impact

Preferred

Familiarity with our stack: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Google Cloud
Technical leadership experience, whether formal or informal
Strong data modeling expertise, with a deep understanding of designing scalable and efficient database schemas
