Responsibilities
Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs
Plan and organize the work of team members
Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures
Mentor and train both professional and inspection staff
Review programs for conformance with department standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of employment
Six years of engineering experience with two years of experience in relevant transportation projects
Master's degree in Engineering may be substituted for one year of engineering experience
Five years of experience for Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures may be considered
Ability to interact and engage with clients as project needs dictate
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Strong verbal communication and analytical skills
Valid driver's license
Preferred
FDOT Advanced MOT certification preferred, or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment
CTQP Quality Control Manager certification preferred, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment
CTQP Final Estimates 1 & 2 preferred, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment
