Responsibilities
Ensure on-time delivery of product by producing on-spec material according to the schedule
Work with R&D departments and operations for successful implementations of new product introductions
Utilize data to drive improvements
Exemplify safety culture and participate in safety initiatives
Track production efficiency, including downtime, cycle times, product yields, material variance, first-pass-quality, and lost production volume. Address any gaps in these areas that can be resolved without redesign/capital investment
Lead trials of new products once R&D has transferred ownership to the site. Perform capability analysis on product specifications
Identify possible unit improvement projects, collects data to support their development, and forwards them to the engineering group for further investigation. Serve as a SME on ongoing project teams and collect data to confirm success after projects are implemented
Reviews the production schedule
Participates in technology transfers
Drafts procedures for operations
Provides project support for production units and utilities
Performs data collection of cycle times and OEE
Completes updates to Oracle, technical indexes, and LIMS systems
Tracks efficiency for site utilities
Acts as the primary support for non-compliance investigations and actions
Serves as the technical representative for process hazard analysis (PHA)
Identifies and eliminates process wastes
Identify projects that could provide good R.O.E
Monitor material variance for deviations
Troubleshoot and addresses process quality issues to ensure high FPQ
Perform capability analysis on new product introductions
Record and investigate recurring quality deviations, collaborating with operations team and QC lab to identify and address problems
Manage and optimize all process under your responsibility taking into consideration Quality, Legality and Food Safety (if applicable) and client needs on Indoramas’s products and services
Guarantee all documentation under your responsibility is updated and available for consulting
Foster open, positive, environment in unit
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production
Serve as an accessible point of contact and mentor to shift supervisors and operators. Must be willing to assist in any production issues that come up unexpectedly
Qualification
Required
BS in Chemical Engineering
3+ years of engineering experience in chemical facility
Root Cause Analysis Training
PSM
