Responsibilities
Provides evidence-based counseling to individuals, couples, and groups, including crisis intervention services as needed
Provide timely documentation, balancing and managing organizational and administrative aspects for the client(s), organization, and partnered communities
Supervise and consult with doctoral students and interns, fostering their learning and care
Stay at the forefront of your field with ongoing professional development and contribute to research that advances mental health services
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP)
Psychologist I: one year full-time supervised internship in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting, pre-doctoral internship preferably APA accredited
Psychologist II: one year full-time post-doctoral clinical experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting
Psychologist III: five years full-time equivalent, post-licensure experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting or ABPP Diploma and three years full-time post licensure experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting
Psychologist IV: ten years post-licensure clinical mental health experience in college counseling center or other relevant setting or American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) designation with seven years of full-time post licensure experience in college counseling center or relevant setting
Eligible for licensure in the State of Texas as a Licensed Psychologist
Become licensed in Texas as a Psychologist within one year from date of employment
Must maintain licensure for continued employment
