Medical Director - GI Oncology

Responsibilities

Work with the Sr. Medical Director, Oncology on the clinical development of ctDNA-based diagnostics
Lead development and implementation of clinical strategies for Natera's oncology products
Oversee medical education and scientific communication for healthcare providers on Natera's oncology offerings
Partner with the commercial team to develop and deliver compelling medical messages for Natera's oncology products
Collaborate with research and development on clinical trial design, data analysis, and publication
Represent Natera at medical conferences and industry events
Foster a culture of scientific excellence and intellectual curiosity within the oncology team

Required

M.D. or DO degree with board certification in Oncology
At least 5 years of experience in oncology, with a strong background in clinical research and development
At least 3 years of clinical trial experience in academia, biotech industry, or equivalent
Associate/ full medical director designation to commensurate with experience
Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, protocol development, regulatory and compliance requirements, statistics and epidemiology
Ability to quickly learn Natera's technology and that of our competitors, understand the strengths and limitations of each, and articulate strong customer value propositions
Skill and experience in building and managing a team
Effective in both written and oral communications, with strong persuasive skills in debate, thinking fast on your feet
Project management skills, with ability to balance and execute across multiple projects simultaneously
Proven team player, with ability to participate as a member of a cross-disciplinary team
Ability to manage conflict with poise

Preferred

Strong knowledge in GI malignancies preferred
