Civil Project Engineer II/III - Traffic Analysis and Planning

They are seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join their Traffic Analysis and Planning Group, where the candidate will conduct traffic studies, perform engineering calculations, and communicate findings to clients and the public.

Responsibilities

Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis
Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation
Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems
Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work
Assist in the preparation of engineering planning schedules and cost estimates
Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties
Communicate with client staff and internal design team; and
Communicate results/recommendations to the general public

Required

A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
Between two and six years of experience in Transportation / Traffic Engineering and Planning
Synchro/SIDRA/HCS proficiency is essential
Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis
Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation
Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems

Preferred

Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing
Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal project experience
Basic CAD and/or GIS knowledge
PE/EIT
