Junior HR Generalist

As a Junior HR Generalist, you will support managers and employees on the North American Technology Team throughout the employee life cycle, focusing on recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.

Responsibilities
Assist with the requisition opening process; confirm business approval and enter accurate posting information in the recruiting management system
Meet with managers to discuss new hires’ onboarding plans, goals, and expectation setting
Work alongside of the Onboarding Coordinator to serve as a resource to new hires upon their start at Susquehanna
Provide support and guidance to managers and employees through the internal transfer process by understanding employees’ interests and career goals and alignment to opportunities
Help managers prepare for annual performance reviews and team overviews; participate in preparation meetings with teams, providing insights where applicable
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues
Maintain discretion and confidentiality building trust with employees and managers
Conduct exit interviews and draw learnings to influence ongoing improvements
Update employee records with term information, inform Payroll to process final pay, and notify Technology Department, Security, etc. of termination to disable access
Collaborate with HR and various other departments on a variety of company and HR projects and initiatives
Identify opportunities and take action to build or improve processes
Ensure accuracy of employee records
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Communications or a related field (preferred) or equivalent on-the-job experience
1-2 years of experience as a HR Generalist or related HR role including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, etc
Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee and company information
Strong communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills, with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong relationships with business partners
Critical thinking skills with an emphasis on curiosity and being agile/adaptable
Make decisions based on practical realities rather than theoretical considerations
Be aware of individual differences to help manage conflict and build confidence and connections
Focus on achieving desired outcomes; share context, communicate and prioritize to deliver results proactively and effectively
Be a model of organizational culture, values, and behaviors
