Responsibilities
Lead and grow a team of exceptional backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions
Be the technologist and system thinker who connects the dots between technology and the business and unlocks business opportunities through tech innovation
Collaborate with Product Managers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team's roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap
Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 8+
Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking
Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team
Drive key business metrics such as customer engagement and retention
Qualification
Required
BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend & web) of 8+ engineers
8+ years of industry experience
A customer-centric mindset and will apply that to building out platform services
Strong product sense and thought partnership with cross-functional peers
Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback
Growth mindset – you're eager to expand your skill set and excited to carve out your career path in a hyper-growth setting
