Responsibilities
Partner with the quant research and investments teams to design, build, enhance, and support a comprehensive portfolio optimization & back testing ecosystem
Combine hands-on development with leading a team of software engineers and quantitative developers
Engage with senior internal and external clients and partners
Design highly scalable and low latency systems
Capture requirements and formulate plans by partnering with various stakeholders
Collaborate with senior leaders in Asset Management Technology to propagate standard processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a computational field such as Computer Science
Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience working in financial services
Experience managing teams of developers and as a player/coach
Proven experience engaging with senior internal and external clients and partners
Experience with Python and micro-services / RESTful APIs
Proven ability to design highly scalable and low latency systems
Experience working on AWS cloud environment and working knowledge of CI/CD & DevOps
Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns and software engineering fundamentals such as OOP, functional programming, data modeling
Advanced understanding of data structures
Demonstrated experience with building and customizing portfolio optimization tools
Proven ability to capture requirements and formulate plans by partnering with various stakeholders
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills to influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
Preferred
Master's degree
Asset Management experienced preferred
