Responsibilities
Set the technical strategy for the team
Lead complex technical initiatives within the team
Explore technical needs and bring solutions to the table
Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture
Assist in developing project plans and commitments, and then deliver consistently against those commitments
Build good working relationships within the team by communicating clearly both verbally and in writing
Continuously optimize solutions to improve overall Platform performance, availability and fault tolerance
Drive Operational excellence through metrics driven approach
Understand customer pain points, build solutions to make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable by applications and teams
Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity, deep technical understanding through collaboration, code reviews, and leading by example
Qualification
Required
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
