Responsibilities

Electromagnetic simulation
Develop electromagnetic simulation models to support the design and synthesis of novel electro-optic devices and interconnect schemes. Analyze and present simulation results to guide future designs. A significant part of the role involves plotting and presenting data across various scenarios
Carefully document simulation results, with attention to assumptions, limitations, and the applicable range of validity
Create and maintain simulation project templates that can be shared with other high-speed engineers on the team
Signal integrity and power integrity simulations
Analyze signal integrity of active devices co-packaged with high speed electronic drivers. A basic understanding of electrical amplifier is helpful
Data analysis and presentation
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to deliver E&M simulation model results that can be updated rapidly through scripting allowing for parameter variation studies to aid in design optimization and innovation
Communication
Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including experts in device physics, photonics and electronic IC design. Effective collaboration is essential for integrating inputs across SI, PI and electromagnetic simulation efforts
