The Senior/Staff Robotics Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and testing critical software modules for the Triton Robot Software, mentoring peers, and managing software subsystems in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Own and implement critical software sub-systems while adding new functionality to the robot
Mentor peers and junior engineers with software design and code reviews
Get a deep understanding of the current system and help debug complex issues as needed
Support software and system infrastructure upgrades as needed
Document software designs, reviews and processes

Required

B.S. or M.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
5-8+ years designing and developing software applications for hardware centric systems
Robust knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages
Experience developing software for a Linux (Ubuntu) based system
Strong background in object-oriented programming, software architecture and design patterns
Ability and flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities within the software team based on priorities
Excellent communication and documentation skills
