Principal Applied Scientist (AI for Enterprise Apps), AWS Supply Chain
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, and they are seeking a Principal Applied Scientist to develop state-of-the-art GenAI/Agentic AI based solutions for enterprise applications. The role involves applying deep learning and generative AI techniques to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Apply deep learning and generative AI techniques to conceptualize, promote, and execute advanced solutions for previously unsolved challenges
Bring AI advancements to customer facing enterprise applications
Work in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team of researchers who are leaders in the field
Take on challenging problems, distill real requirements, and then deliver solutions that either leverage existing academic and industrial research, or utilize your own out-of-the-box pragmatic thinking
Come up with novel solutions and prototypes, and deliver these to production in customer facing products
Qualification
Required
PhD in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Math or a related quantitative field
8+ years of relevant, broad research experience after PhD
Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals in one of these areas: reinforcement learning, deep learning, and machine learning
Fluency in Python, SQL or similar scripting languages
Strong algorithm development experience
Depth and breadth in state-of-the-art machine learning technologies
Strong prior experience with mentorship and/or management of senior scientists and engineers
Preferred
Experience programming in Java, C++, or related language
Experience in building machine learning models for business application
