Responsibilities

Work directly with various Department Leaders, Project Managers and staff to create viable and context sensitive Planning/Design solutions for projects of varied scope and scale
Review and process complex comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, annexation, and site plan submittals
Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use, physical, social & economic issues
Prepare concept plans and graphics (by hand and in digital formats)
Produce presentation plans and construction documents for a variety of project types
Prepare and presents reports and other findings to staff, Planning & Zoning Boards, and Councils, and serving as liaison to such committees
Prepare construction documents for complex site and land development projects

Required

15+ years of experience in urban planning and design, landscape architecture, or a related field
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture or comparable field from an accredited University
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Lumion or other rendering software, Microsoft Office Suite
Strong project management expertise with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across the company
Experience effectively managing PLA staff in the successful completion of projects
Ability to manage subconsultants, project deliverables, deadlines and budgets
Dedication to sharing ideas, exploring complex planning and site design solutions
Proven experience in planning and design of projects from conceptual design to construction documentation
Ability and willingness to be based out of the Raleigh office

Preferred

Professional registration (AICP, RLA, CNU or other) desirable, but not required
