Responsibilities

Review and interpret detailed commercial lease documents, including amendments and related legal documents

Abstract critical lease data such as base rent, commencement and expiration dates, CAM charges, escalations, renewal options, and tenant improvements

Resolve data discrepancies through detailed cross-referencing and stakeholder collaboration

Maintain a high level of data quality and compliance within CoStar’s proprietary systems

Act as a subject matter expert for process improvement and data accuracy initiatives

Support junior team members through informal mentorship and knowledge sharing

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality

Maintain privacy and discretion with all data extracted from leases

Required

A proven track record of commitment to prior employers

Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college

2–5 years of experience in lease abstraction, lease administration, or legal document review

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems

Demonstrated understanding of commercial lease structures and accounting implications

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or legal studies

Experience with lease accounting platforms or lease management systems

Demonstrated success working with performance metrics or KPIs

Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments
